Insurance Excess Reduction Cover (CDW)

As with all motorhome hire companies, there is an excess in our fully comprehensive insurance cover (i.e. an amount for which the hirer is liable if their hire vehicle is damaged during the hire).  In our case, the standard excess is €2000.  You can insure this excess and reduce your liability by taking out Excess Reduction Insurance (sometimes referred to as CDW).

We do not offer Excess Reduction Insurance but you can read about the options to take out this cover on our webpage here: Excess Reduction Insurance Companies

Before taking out this insurance, do check that the excess is not already covered by other insurance that you already hold (e.g. the cover offered by your credit card provider or in a travel insurance policy).  You cannot take out this cover on the day your hire starts so do make sure that you buy it online or over the phone at least 24 hours prior to collecting your motorhome.

*For long term hires (where the terms are negotiated according to your requirements) and certain fixed itineraries, we may apply a limit to the mileage in order to offer you the best possible price for your hire but if so, this will be very clearly explained to you before you book. Our unlimited mileage policy is based on reasonable use and we reserve the right to decline bookings or impose a restriction on the number of kilometres included in your hire price if we feel your itinerary will cover more than a reasonable number of kilometres (in such cases we will make this clear prior to taking payment for your hire and accepting your booking).
