Today marks the start of six weeks of winter sales (or “Soldes”) in France.
Sales in France are like those in no other country as they only run twice a year and are strictly regulated. Impromptu sales outside of the officially designated dates are forbidden by law here so these sales are a genuine opportunity to find real bargain deals on everything from clothing to electronics.
Shopping from a campervan will give you heaps of extra space to stow your purchases. You can also park near the shops and collapse into your cosy campervan at the end of a hard day of bargain hunting.
Head for France between now and 16th February* to take advantage of these strictly controlled, and therefore very genuine, winter sales.
(* Sales end 12th February in the departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle and Vosges in eastern France.)
And for those planning a summer trip, the official summer sales start 22nd June and finish on 2nd August (except in the Pyrénées-Orientales and Alps-Maritime departments where the sales start on 6th July and finish on 16th August).
