Cosy Campervans and Autumn Colours in France

19 Oct

Autumn leavesFrance is stunning as the autumn colours emerge. I just took this photo on the way to work.

Lush greens give way to rich autumnal colours and the countryside is turning into one huge warm glow.  There is a bit of nip in the morning air but we can forgive the chill as it is accompanied by the odd whiff of wood smoke as the French light their wood burners and fires.

Cravings turn from barbeques and chilled sauvignon blanc to roasted chestnuts and mulled pinot noir. Warming, hearty French dishes such as Beef Bourguignon and Coq au Vin are back on the restaurant menus and stopping at a cafe to people watch whilst sipping a “Chocolat Chaud” is a treat than can only really be enjoyed during the cooler months.

Sightseeing highlights are blissfully quiet and motorhome parking spots are available in their thousands so it’s a lovely time to explore France.

All of our campervans and motorhomes have ducted central heating and winter weight bedding so they stay really cosy no matter how low the night time temperatures drop.

Autumn in VersaillesTo cap it all we have slashed our prices for hires between now and mid-April so there has never been a better time to explore France in a cosy campervan.
